Students who are invited to participate in the Scholar Leader Program (SLP) become part of a community of high-achieving students. As part of this learning community, you will sharpen communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills that employers and graduate schools value highly. Your participation will also be noted on your transcripts and at Commencement Ceremonies.

The Scholar Leader Program (SLP) consists of 15 credit hours (four classes and a senior capstone project) and service to a campus or community organization. SLP courses are purposely designed to fulfill general education requirements needed for graduation, in other words, participation in SLP will not add to your course load. Further, SLP classes are taught by a select group of professors who develop unique, interactive, and interesting course offerings exclusively for you. Finally, during your senior year, you'll propose and implement a project within your major discipline under the guidance of a faculty member.

The Scholar Leader Program is designed to empower you to make the most of your college experience at UD.

If you'd like to know more about the program, please feel welcome to contact Assistant Professor Adam Smith, SLP director by email at AdamSmith@dbq.edu or by phone at 563.589.3796.
