LIFE students have access to many student services to make their educational experience successful.

  • MyCampus: This brief video assists students in setting up their UD Login credentials to access various UD systems.
  • Moodle: This is the learning management system for UD and each course will have its own page. It provides critical information on the class resources, syllabus and assignments. For a brief overview of Moodle, watch this video and for more specifics on various tools within Moodle go to this page
  • MyUD: The portal provides students access to many online services - UD email, view/pay bill online, view/print course schedule, unofficial transcript, grade reports, academic advising plan, financial planning documents, employer reimbursement invoice request, etc. For a brief overview of MyUD watch this video.
  • UD Email: Student email account, please check UD email on a regular basis for important updates. 
  • Charles C. Myers Library:  The library offers a tremendous amount of resources to students including online articles, tool, research databases, PC lab, etc... Librarians also answer questions by email (Reference@dbq.edu) and instant message (screen name: udreference). Librarians can assist you in developing basic academic research skills and provide referrals as needed. There is also a student focused guide in this video
  • Learning Support Services: The ASC takes a proactive approach in helping students develop the learning strategies necessary for success in the classroom and in professional life. Services include: Academic Coaching, Disability Services, Testing Services, TRIO/Student Support Services, BE SMART Tutoring (Business, Economics, Science, Mathematics, Aviation Regulations, and Technology), and Writing Center.
  • Counseling & Life Services: The mission of Counseling & Life Services is to provide a safe and confidential environment for the UD community, which supports lifelong learning and educational success to better assist in reaching personal and career goals. UD's Counseling Services will be facilitated through the Smeltzer-Kelly Student Health Center, 563.589.3911. All calls are answered by our confidential answering service 24/7. 
  • Vocation and Civic Engagement Services: Services include career counseling, enrollment in the Handshake recruitment platform, resume writing assistance, online career library, Linked-In profile development and social media, mock interviews, and more. Students are encouraged to log into Moodle and visit the Vocation & Civic Engagement Services Moodle page found within their "My Course" listings. This comprehensive page provides a wealth of career related resources, such as internship and employment opportunities, as well as resources on vocation and civic engagement. 
  • Babka Bookstore: Purchase or rent your books as well as purchase your Spartan spirit supplies.
  • Childcare: Assistance is available to LIFE students at each location. For LIFE students on the Dubuque campus, the UD Childcare Center will provide childcare on the night the student is in class at no cost to the student. LIFE students must complete the appropriate childcare paperwork and provide the childcare staff their student schedule in advance of each session to allow for proper staffing. At other sites, UD will reimburse the student for the cost of childcare on the night the student is in class. The LIFE staff can provide you details and help you through this reimbursement process.
  • Food Services: Food services vary at each location. LIFE staff can assist at each location for options.
  • Parking: On-site parking is free in designated lots on the UD campus and free at other LIFE sites.
