Spartan Start

Spartan Start, the University of Dubuque's orientation and welcome program for new and transfer students, will be held Monday, August 24, 2026, and Tuesday, August 25, 2026. During the program, students will get connected with other students, learn their way around campus, discover how to get involved, and a lot more. Spartan Start provides the perfect start to a successful college experience.

Fall transfer students and adult learners have the option of participating in the full two-day Spartan Start program or selecting the one-day option on August 25.
