Award Program Description

The Faculty Hall of Fame for Excellence in Teaching and Advising awards program at the University of Dubuque was established in 1996 thanks to the generosity of UD alumnus and Trustee Richard and the late Donna Svrluga to recognize faculty for their outstanding teaching, advising, and commitment to the Mission of the University of Dubuque. Two of the three annual awards are named in honor of John Knox Coit and William L. Lomax - two Faculty who were known for their dedication to University students, both inside and outside the classroom.

The Faculty Hall of Fame wall plaque, listing all past award recipients from 1996 to 2023, is displayed on second floor of Heritage Center.
