Tito Puente Jr. to Honor Father's Legacy with Exhilarating Latin Rhythms

DUBUQUE, Iowa - Tito Puente Jr. and His Latin Jazz Ensemble will bring exhilarating Latin rhythms to the 10th annual Live at Heritage Center Performing Arts Series at 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022, in John and Alice Butler Hall, Heritage Center on the University of Dubuque campus.

Ticket prices increase by $5 at midnight the day of the event.

Son of the legendary American salsa and Latin jazz musician Tito Puente, Tito Puente Jr. has big shoes to fill. And boy does he! Honoring his father's legacy, Tito Puente Jr. has made a name for himself as one of the most exciting Latin musicians touring today. He carries his father with him, imprinted on his physical being and locked in his soul, to fulfil a passionate mission to nurture the musical legacy left by his father.

Tito Puente Jr. and his hot 10-piece ensemble have become an audience favorite in casinos, performing arts centers, symphony halls, and jazz festivals worldwide. Crowds are captivated by the high voltage celebration on stage and exhilarating Latin rhythms that get their feet moving with Tito Puente Jr. and His Latin Jazz Ensemble.

A free pre-show reception will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Bisignano Art Gallery for "Quiet Power: Recent Work by Karen Kurka Jensen and Brent Rowley." The exhibit will be on display Monday, August 22, 2022, through Friday, September 30, 2022.

Jazz 88.3 FM KCCK is the exclusive radio sponsor for this performance. KCCK is a non-commercial, educational radio station operated by Kirkwood Community College.
