Martin Dysart, an aging and troubled child psychiatrist, takes on the case of his life in this famous dramatic play by Peter Shaffer. Young Alan Strang is pushing against the boundaries of society and has taken it too far, way too far. It is up to Dysart to save Strang's sanity and perhaps his very soul. Through their unique relationship, Dysart just may be able to safe himself as well.

"Equus has been a favorite amongst directors, producers, and actors alike. With dramatic elements of religion, passion, society versus individualism, civilization versus the wild, and self-discovery, the University of Dubuque is honored to be bringing it to Dubuque in the majestic Butler Hall," Wolf said.

The play is free and open to the public. No ticket is required.
