Spring Band Concert to Feature University of Dubuque's Concert and Jazz Bands

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque's Concert Band and Jazz Band will present a Spring Band Concert 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, in John and Alice Butler Hall, Heritage Center.

The Spring Band Concert will include music from a variety of genres and time periods as well as timeless jazz standards. The performance will take audience members on a musical adventure with selections from The Mandalorian television series and The Legend of Zelda, Halo, and World of Warcraft video games to the classic jazz standards such as Moment's Notice and more. The University of Dubuque's Concert Band will be joined by alumni and incoming students for a special performance of UD's alma mater.

The Spring Band Concert will be under the direction of Nolan Hauta, DMA, director of concert bands and associate professor of instrumental music, and Evan Glickman, DMA, director of jazz and athletic bands and assistant professor of music.

Additionally, Mackenzi Young, a junior music education major from Epworth, Iowa, will be a student conductor.

The concert is free and open to the public. No ticket is required.
