What inspired you to first join choir?
"I was inspired to join the choir because I did it throughout high school and wanted to continue and be a part of something in college."
Twenty-six members of the UD Concert Choir and UD Chamber Singers performed "In Meeting We Are Blessed" in the Kansas City area April 28-29, 2025. How would you describe the music?
"I would describe the music as welcoming and upbeat. Many of the songs demonstrated these feelings to our audience based on the conversations with the people who listened."
Did you have a favorite song? Why?
"My favorite song was 'Song of Miriam.' It was my favorite because the musicality of the song was beautiful. Listening to the song, you hear different rhythms and tempos of the song that make it so engaging to listen to."
How did you prepare for each performance while on the road?
"I prepared for each performance by drinking plenty of water and getting into the proper mindset by relaxing my body and warming up my voice with the rest of the choir."
What are some of your favorite memories from this year's choir tour?
"Some of my favorite memories from the choir tour are spending time with my friends and playing card games with everyone. I also really enjoyed spending our free day shopping."
In your opinion, what makes the University of Dubuque unique?
"I think the thing that makes UD unique is its ability to recognize every individual student for who they are."
