Fall Concerto Concert to Feature UD Student Soloists
The University of Dubuque's Department of Fine and Performing Arts and Northeast Iowa School of Music will present the Fall Concerto Concert at 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2024, in John and Alice Butler Hall, Heritage Center.
The Fall Concerto Concert will feature the Dubuque Community String Orchestra with UD's String Ensemble and music by Rossini, Vivaldi, Bruch, Beliczay, Albinoni, and Saint-Saens. The concert will be under the direction of Tracey Rush, MM, adjunct professor of music and founder of the Dubuque Community String Orchestra.
There will be four UD student soloists: Coda Breitsprecker, a senior music education major from Galena, Illinois; Brady Potts, a senior music major from Asbury, Iowa; Genevieve Tuffy, a senior human health science major from Barrington, Illinois; and Ariel Yu, a senior flight operations major from Dubuque, Iowa.
"We are excited to be featuring several UD students in this concert. They are all very talented young people and I know the audience will enjoy the entire concert," Rush said.
The Fall Concerto Concert is free and open to the public. No ticket is required.
