Heritage Center to Feature Musicians Through Virtual Programming in February

DUBUQUE, Iowa – University of Dubuque Heritage Center’s virtual programming for February features two talented musicians.

Elizabeth Mary will join Live(stream) with Heritage Center for a free event at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, on YouTube at @UDBQMedia. The series is an opportunity for viewers to meet the artists behind the performances through Heritage Center’s social media. It features interviews by Heritage Center staff with special guest artists and live presentations. Each episode is approximately 45 minutes.

Dubuque’s own Elizabeth Mary wrote her first song, “I Have a Dream,” at age 10 and has been pursuing that dream ever since. She is known best for her hit country singles “Breathe in Girl” and “Sweatpants and Wine.” Elizabeth Mary plays solo acoustic and full band shows anywhere from small venues to large music festivals in the tri-state area. Her highly anticipated 14 track, all original album, Meet Me in Madison, was released in November 2019.

Elizabeth Mary will join Heritage Center’s staff to share her relatable lyrics and story to success including juggling the trials of the pandemic, production of a full-length album, and a newborn. In addition, she will perform hits from her newest album live.

Celebrate the Saint Patrick’s Day season virtually with the original voice of Riverdance on Broadway. Virtual tickets are on sale now for Ireland with Michael Londra, a virtual concert and travel experience, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2021. The presentation is one of Heritage Center’s Full-Length Features.

Ireland with Michael is a never-before-seen Celtic show from the National Opera House in Wexford, Ireland. Taped in front of a live audience of 750 people, the show features the Irish Concert Orchestra, two choirs, and musicians from all over Ireland joining Londra, an Emmy-nominated Irish tenor, in a celebration of Irish culture, heritage, and music. The show steps out into the Irish villages and countryside to meet local traditional singers, dancers, and musicians. Londra travels from Dublin to Belfast to the Kennedy Homestead, sharing his own connection to songs and stories of his home county.
