DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Dubuque Heritage Center has added a treasured tale of madcap and endearing farm animals to its performance lineup of family-friendly Full-Length Features.

Tickets are on sale now through Sunday, May 9, 2021, for digital access to Charlotte’s Web, presented by Nashville Children’s Theatre by special arrangement with TheatreWorksUSA. A portion of each ticket purchased will benefit Heritage Center.

Charlotte’s Web is based on E.B. White’s loving story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a spider named Charlotte. Wilbur has a problem: how to avoid winding up as pork chops. Charlotte, a fine writer and true friend, hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zuckerman. She will create a “miracle.” Spinning the words “Some Pig” in her web, Charlotte weaves a solution that not only makes Wilbur a prize pig but also ensures his place on the farm forever. The beloved tale explores bravery, selfless love, and the true meaning of friendship.

Household digital access for Charlotte’s Web is $14.99. It includes the full virtual performance as well as interactive and educational activities related to the show. Once purchased, the Charlotte’s Web rental will be available for 48 hours. Pete the Cat is another of Heritage Center’s family-friendly Full-Length Features. Tickets to access the performance digitally are available through Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Pete the Cat is also presented by Nashville Children’s Theatre by special arrangement with TheatreWorksUSA.

The performance features Pete the Cat, who never loses his cool, and Jimmy Biddle, who never strays from his routine. That is, until the groovy blue cat moves in with The Biddles for the summer. Can cat and boy ever be friends? When Jimmy draws a blank in art class, Pete’s the perfect pal to lead the mission to help Jimmy find his inspiration. Join Jimmy and Pete on a new adventure of friendship, all the way to Paris and back again in a VW Bus.
