How It Happened
-The first real scoring threat from either team came in the 35th minute when Brooke Brodzinski got open from just outside the 18 on the left side, but the shot rolled right into the Cardinals goalkeepers hands.

-UD goalie Victoria Roethler launched a punt into the Spartan attacking zone in the 59th minute, where Brooke Brodzinksi would head it over a Cardinal defender and right to UD’s Isabelle Robinson. Robinson would dribble all the way to the goal line about 10 yards to the right of the goal, where she crossed it into Jordan Cadena who tapped it into the net to give UD the 1-0 lead.
-North Central evened the game back up at one all, when Allyson Vierderis snuck a shot into the lower right corner of the net.
-The Cardials took the lead with nine minutes left after Roethler stopped the first North Central shot but the rebound bounced right to a Cardinal for the put back goal and 2-1 lead.
-UD got a free kick with three minutes left from about 25 yards out, where Brodzinski took and and tried hooking it into the lower left corner of the net, but a diving save kept it out of the net.
