UD 1,  Coe 0

How It Happened
-Both teams offense were slowed to start the game, the Spartans had two shots on goal in the opening 32 minutes, but a shot by Isabelle Robinson and a header from Amanda Chlebek were both directly at the Coe goalie for easy saves.
-Coe’s first shot on goal came in the 41st minute when Amanda Hiebert took a shot from 20 yards out and it looked like it was ticketed for the back of the net but Victoria Roethler came up with a full extension, diving save to keep the game scoreless heading into halftime.
-The defense’s picked up right where they left off in the first half, controlling the game and keeping scoring chances to a minimum. The first shot on goal in the half did not come until the 69th minute off the foot of Elana Krasowski, off of a corner kick, but it was saved easily by Coe’s goalkeeper.
-In the 73rd minute, the Spartan offense finally struck. Isabelle Robinson crossed a Coe defender near the top of the 18, took a dribble and lofted a perfectly placed ball over the goalie’s head to give the Spartans the first goal of the game.
-The Spartan defense did what they did for the previous 73 minutes before the goal and shut down the Kohawks for the remaining 17 minutes to secure the 1-0 shutout win.
