LINCOLN, Neb. - The UD women's basketball team picked up their second American Rivers Conference victory on Saturday with a thrilling 73-69 victory at Nebraska Wesleyan.
The Spartans got off to a slow start as Nebraska Wesleyan raced out to a 10 point lead late in the first quarter. UD got the NWU lead all the way down to one point at the 4:09 mark of the second quarter but still trailed by five at halftime.
UD still trailed heading into the fourth quarter and finally broke through with 4:59 remaining in the fourth quarter after a Josie Thomas steal and layup for UD's first lead of the day at 60-59.
