University of Dubuque Heritage Center to Host Season Kick-Off Customer Appreciation Day

DUBUQUE, Iowa – New this year, University of Dubuque Heritage Center will host a Season Kick-Off Customer Appreciation Day on Thursday, Aug. 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to celebrate the launch of single ticket sales for the 2019-2020 Live at Heritage Center Performing Arts Series.

Crowned a “Jewel of a Season,” the season’s line-up sparkles with a premiere selection of nearly 30 of the finest performing arts attractions touring the world today including RENT 20th Anniversary Tour, Wynton Marsalis, and Steep Canyon Rangers.

Through a Build-Your-Own CenterStage season ticket package, patrons can choose seven or more of 16 events to be eligible for a variety of benefits including discounts up to 25 percent. Deeper discounts are available to UD affiliates such as alumni, parents of current UD students, and veterans and military personnel. Subscribers may supplement with Family Series and B.I.T.E Size Series ticket packages.

At the Season Kick-Off Customer Appreciation Day, CenterStage subscribers and anyone purchasing a ticket at the Farber Box Office that day will receive a $5 voucher redeemable towards lunch or dessert from Magoo’s Pizza’s food truck, CyberCafè, and Mike and Betty’s Ice Cream Shoppe during the event. There is a limit of one voucher per person. There will also be door prizes including a CenterStage Season Ticket Package Grand Prize as well as live entertainment Todd McDonough, a singer/songwriter from Dubuque, with Dayton Olson on harmonica from noon to 1 p.m. on the CyberCafè Knapp Stage.

There will be a special season subscriber VIP table where lunch vouchers and special gifts will be distributed.

Subscription orders are being accepted now. Individual tickets will be available for purchase beginning Thursday, Aug. 1, at 11 a.m. at the Farber Box Office, Heritage Center, University of Dubuque, 2255 Bennett Street; by phone at 563-585-SHOW; or online at www.dbq.edu/heritagecenter. Farber Box Office summer hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Normal hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. begin Monday, Aug. 19.

Patrons are reminded that new downloads of Heritage Center’s free app (search “HERITAGECTR”) automatically receive a $5.00 discount coupon. Exclusions may apply
