Spartans Men's Basketball Down Norse On the Road

DECORAH, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's basketball team would rally from a six point halftime deficit to out score the host Luther College Norse 44-32 to capture the American Rivers Conference tilt by a 75-69 margin on Wednesday.
The Spartans Mitch Burger would lead all scorers with 29 points after sinking 8-12 shots from the field and 9-10 at the free throw line. He was held to just nine points in the first half before lighting it up in the final half. Brock Simon and Luke Davis III would both finish with 10 points. Peter Ragen collected 10 rebounds with eight being defensive. UD out rebounded the Norse 43-34 and nine Spartans scored in the victory.
UD will host the Simpson College Storm on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 4 p.m. The Storm came from behind on Wednesday at home to beat the Wartburg Knights 71-65. On Nov. 29, the Spartans won in Indianola 77-68.
