Orchestra Pit Seating for RENT 20th Anniversary Tour Available for $20 Day of Performance Only at the Farber Box Office

DUBUQUE, Iowa – University of Dubuque Heritage Center announced today that orchestra pit seats directly in front of the stage will be available for $20 for each performance of RENT 20th Anniversary Tour, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical, which will serve as the headline event for the 2019-2020 Live at Heritage Center Performing Art Series on Oct. 2-3.
The $20 tickets are available for in-person purchases at the Farber Box Office, located at 2255 Bennett Street, on the day of each performance only, 90 minutes prior to the show. The $20 tickets are limited to two tickets per person.
The tradition of these tickets began in 1996 in New York when the show moved to Broadway after a sold-out run in a small downtown theatre. The producers of the show are committed to continuing the tradition of offering these orchestra seats in each city the show will play.
RENT will perform 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, and Thursday, Oct. 3, in John and Alice Butler Hall, Heritage Center. For general ticket information, contact the Farber Box Office at 563.585.SHOW from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A free CyberCafé Knapp Stage Pre-Show Concert featuring Melanie Devaney will precede RENT from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, in Heritage Center. Devaney is a folk-Americana singer-songwriter from Epworth, Iowa, who has garnered a national reputation. Her songs are stories from her own life’s adventures and the cast of characters she has met and created along the way.
