How It Happened
-Illinois Wesleyan hopped on the board first in the 25th minute when IWU’s Donovan Malone sent shot into the lower left corner to put UD in a 1-0 deficit.
-In the 37th minute, Brandon White prevented a second Illinois Wesleyan goal after the ball with being headed around in the box, White tipped it out to avoid damage.

-Illinois Wesleyan’s pressure continued in the second half, in the 67th minute with the score still sitting at 1-0, a ball squirted past White but luckly for the Spartans a defender was there to clear the ball out.
-The Spartan defense could only withstand the IWU attack for so much longer before another goal which came in the 73rd minute to make it 2-0.
-However, the Spartans would not go quietly. Joel Johansson would get UD back within one goal when he went low and center to find the back of the net in the 83rd minute.
