Football Enjoys Record Setting Day at Luther

DECORAH, Iowa - The University of Dubuque football team finished the day with 740 total yards of offense in a lopsided 69-14 victory over the Luther College Norse on Saturday afternoon. UD rushed for 391 yards on the ground, threw for 349 yards, and finished with 32 first downs in the American Rivers Conference victory.
Pounding out the yards on the ground was leader Kordell Stillmunkes who carried the ball 11 times for 102 yards a pair of touchdowns, one from four yards and another on a 35 yard scamper. Keyshawn Carr rushed 11 times for 91 yards, Sayvaun Roberts ran 5-67 yards, Eli Webster 6-61 yards, Cody Dieball 6-50 yards, Dwayne Allen Jr. 8-24 yards, and Sean Duffy 1-(-4 yards). Quarterback Duffy hit his target all day, completing 20-23 attempts for 349 yards and three touchdowns. Kody Reimer caught 5-147 yards and two touchdowns, Elliott Pipkin 5-106 yards and a touchdown, Jordan LaBelle 5-46 yards, Adam Rothas 3-31 yards, Emanuel Jenkins 1-10 yards, and Karletty Faamatuainu 1-9 yards.
Andy Vujnovich punted just once on the day for 36 yards and was 9-10 in extra points. Tyler Sheffield kicked off 11 times for 562 yards for an average of 51.1 yards with three touchbacks.
UD's defense finished with four sacks and a pair of interceptions on the Norse. Anthony Love lef tackles with six followed by a group of Spartans with five tackles (Colton Pedersen, Adam Steingraeber, Chad Maarsh, Quincy Topel, Brandon Dutkiewicz).
UD 5-3 overall, 4-2 in the A-R-C will enjoy their bye week on Nov. 2 before returning to action on Senior Day on Chalmers Field on Nov. 9 when they will host the Buena Vista University Beavers (2-6 overall, 0-6 in A-R-C) who lost in overtime on Saturday to Loras College by a score of 40-39.
