CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – University of Dubuque football student-athlete and running back Dwayne Allen Jr. picked up his third career Conference Player of the Week award after his record breaking performance in UD’s 42-7 win over Nebraska Wesleyan.

The senior from Hampshire, Illinois rushed for 152 yards and one touchdown in his final collegiate contest. Despite missing three games due to injury this season, Allen needed just 120 yards to break the school record for career rushing yards and surpassed the mark late in the third quarter on a nine yard scamper. The 152 yards gives Allen 3,086 career yards on the ground.

The UD win over Nebraska Wesleyan gave the Spartans a six game win streak to end the 2019 season and a third place finish in the conference behind co-champions, Central and Wartburg.
