Men's Tennis Forced Inside Due to Snow

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The University of Dubuque men's tennis team was forced to move their match on Saturday indoors after a late Midwest snowstorm blanketed the Dubuque area in a coating of white heavy wet snow. The Spartans moved into the warm confines of Chlapaty Recreation and Wellness Center, but would lose a hard fought match to the Nebraska Wesleyan University Prairie Wolves by a 3-6 margin.
The Spartans captured the #1 doubles match of Axel Cabrera Figueroa/Jason Reddy by an 8-5 score. Cabrera Figuero would also take the #1 singles by a 6-1, 6-2 score. Devon Garber captured the #4 singles in a battle through a tie break 2-6, 6-1, 6-1.
The Spartans (3-16 overall, 1-6 in A-R-C) play host the Loras College Duhawks on Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. on Senior Day. UD will most likely be indoors again as rain is expected in the Dubuque area on Tuesday.
