Hilarious Hijinxs with ComedySportz at UD’s Babka Theatre

DUBUQUE, Iowa – University of Dubuque Heritage Center continues its second season of its B.I.T.E. Size Series with Guys in Ties by ComedySportz on Friday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Babka Theatre. By combining wit, intelligence, humor, and 20 years of experience, Guys in Ties gives audiences a unique and unforgettable night of clean comedy.

B.I.T.E. stands for Babka Intimate Theatre Experiences. The series showcases one-person or small-cast performances in the intimate setting of Heritage Center’s black box venue. With maximum capacity of about 200, Babka Theatre offers general admission and stadium-style seating.

Featuring actors from the Quad Cities-based ComedySportz, this presentation is suitable for all ages. The show includes a special guest appearance by the UD Spartaneous Improv troupe under the guidance of Greg Wolf, assistant professor of theatre at the University.

Guys in Ties is an elite traveling improvisational comedy troupe who present shows tailored to their audience. Audience members end up as the true stars of the show due to the interactive nature of the performances. The troupe has opened for and/or performed with Weird Al Yankovic, Norm MacDonald, Howie Mandel, Darrell Hammond, Sinbad, Brad Sherwood, and others.
