DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Dubuque Wind and Jazz ensembles will present their fall concert, Audible Images, on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 2:00 p.m. in Heritage Center’s John and Alice Butler Hall. The concert will be under the direction of Benjamen Blasko, assistant professor of music and director of instrumental ensembles at UD.

WHAT:            UD Fall Wind and Jazz Ensemble Concert: Audible Images

WHEN:            Sunday, Oct. 15 – 2:00 p.m.

WHERE:          John and Alice Butler Hall, Heritage Center, University of Dubuque

TICKETS:        Free, Ticket Required

UD’s Wind and Jazz ensembles will share an afternoon of full ensemble and chamber music. The music selections will dive into the connection between sound and mental imagery. The human experience is something we all live but can't necessarily share with someone else. Through this concert, the ensembles and audience members will walk through a variety of music and attempt to draw upon experiences of the audience to create "audible images" - something unique to each individual listener, connecting the music to the inner depths of their souls.

Admission is free; however, a ticket is required. Tickets are available Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Farber Box Office, Heritage Center, University of Dubuque, 2255 Bennett Street.; by phone at 563.585.SHOW; or online at www.dbq.edu/heritagecenter.
