Track and Field Wraps Up Drake Relays

DES MOINES, Iowa – The University of Dubuque track and field team competed in seven events at the Drake Relays on Saturday afternoon and finished with three top six finishers on Saturday and 10 top 10 finishes for the weekend.
Saturday’s Results
Women’s 4x200 – 13th Place – 1:45.91 (Beeman, Flowers, Slatter, Hildebrandt)
Men’s 4x200 – 4th Place – 1:27.18 (Thomas, Ellis, Pointer, Steed)
Women’s Shuttle Hurdle – 9th Place – 1:04.86 (Johnson, Burks, Sanchez, Schwenker)
Men’s Shuttle Hurdle – 4th Place – 1:01.42 (Gray, Kelshawn and Kelvon Johnson, Stillmunkes)
Blaze Murfin – 19th Place in Hammer Throw – 55.19m
Men’s 4x100 – 6th Place – 41.76 (Thomas, Gray, Ellis, Steed)
The Spartans return to the track on May 4th when they participate in the Loras Twighlight, which is now being held at the University of Dubuque due to construction at Loras.
