The University of Dubuque baseball team allowed Luther to score five or more runs in three separate innings in a pair of defeats, 17-10, and 9-5, and prevented the Spartans from locking up a Top-3 Iowa Conference tournament seed.
Baseball Ties for 4th in IIAC, Prepares for IIAC Tournament

The University of Dubuque baseball wrapped up their regular season on the road at Luther College on saturday and would finish tied with Coe College for fourth place in the Iowa Conference. The tie-break of head-to-head (UD was 1-3 against Coe) gave the #4 seed to Coe with the Spartans the #5 seed in the Iowa Conference Tournament which begins next week.

Sophomore Tanasha Atwater broke the school record in the hammer throw as the Spartan throwers cruised to three victories and the UD hurdling crew, led by freshman Isabella Solis, broke one school record and set three Top-5 times in school history as the University of Dubuque women’s track team competed at Loras’ Dr. Tucker Open on Friday night.

UD will face Simpson at 10:00 a.m. on Friday morning in the Cedar Rapids Kernels stadium in an elimination game.
