DETAILS:
The University of Dubuque Education Department will host Green Dot Training – a violence prevention training program, for education majors from UD, Clarke, Emmaus, and Loras.  The presentation will be given by Mae Hintgen, a psychologist with the Dubuque Community School District; Matt Zanger, educator from Riverview Center; and Nelly Hill, advocate from WayPoint Services.

A Green Dot is any behavior, choice, word or attitude that promotes safety for everyone and communicates utter intolerance for violence.  The Green Dot Violence Prevention Program has been adopted by the Dubuque Community School District (DCSD).  All K-12 teachers will receive this important training.  DCSD will hold their community kick-off for this program on Friday, September 19.
