DUBUQUE, IOWA - The University of Dubuque Men's Cross Country team took advantage of the opportunity to run in town at the Dubuque Soccer Complex by competing in the Dr. Tucker Invitational, hosted by Loras College. UD and Loras each use the Soccer Complex as their home course so the Spartans were familiar with the terrain on Friday night. Payton Nevills (Savanna, Ill./West Carroll) led Dubuque through the 8,000 meter course that ran through the woods and hills on site with a time of 27:29.3 and 12th place. The Spartans finished third of five teams.

Matt Zittritsch (Humboldt, Iowa/Humboldt) was the second Spartans finisher in 26th place at 28:56.3, a new personal record by 6.8 seconds. Jordan Murray (DeWitt, Iowa/Central DeWitt) was 6.5 seconds behind Zittritsch in 27th place at 29:02.8. Each of the top four finisher for UD were sophomore with Blair Burdt (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Washington) coming in at 29:18.9 and 30th place.
