After an even 20 minutes following the PK goal, Central scored twice within 1:03 to take a 2-1 lead with five minutes remaining in the game. With the clock now under one minutes to play, Hernandez put a shot on goal that hit the crossbar and went straight down towards to foot of Alassane Doukoure (Abidjan, Ivory Coast/Baumholder). Doukoure was able to control the ball and hit it home to tie the game with 39 seconds left in regulation.

With the momentum now on the Spartans side, overtime would not last long as Winkler scored his second goal of the game 46 seconds into OT.
