Men's Soccer Loses 1-0

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS - The University of Dubuque Men's Soccer team once again found themselves going toe-to-toe with one of the top teams in the region on Friday night. The Spartans 1-0 loss to North Park University was the fourth one goal loss in seven games played. UD is now 1-5-1 on the season. 

The Spartans finsihed with a 10-7 advantage in shots on goal but were unable to beat the goal keeper. Gonzalo Hernandez Cascante (Madrid, Spain/Colegio Internacional Kolbe) led UD with three shots on goal. Brandon Wiley (Mannheim, Germany/Mannheim) had three total shots with two on goal to give to UD starting forwards a combined six shots and five shots on goal. Cory Winkler (Lakeville, Minn./Apple Valley) came off the bench to record four shots with two being on goal. 

Jose Resendiz (Streamwood, Ill./Streamwood) finished with six saves and one goal allowed. 

UP NEXT: UD will play at Macalester College on Tuesday, September 24th in St. Paul, Minn. Game time is 7:30 pm.
