Women's Golf Takes Sixth at Viterbo

LA CROSSE, WISCONSIN - The University of Dubuque Women's Golf team finished in sixth place at the Viterbo Invitational on Sunday. The Spartans leader for the weekend was Lauren Smith (Spring Grove, Ill./Richmond-Burton) in 15th place with a 175.
Smith shot the two lowest rounds of the tournament for the Spartans with her 87 on Saturday and 88 on Sunday. The 175 by Smith is her lowest two round score while at UD.
Dionna Jensen (Marion, Iowa/Linn-Mar) and Nikole Blewett (Dubuque, Iowa/Hempstead) finished within one shot of each other at 198 for Jensen and 199 for Blewett. Julianna Pople (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Linn-Mar) rounded out the UD scoring with a 201.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will compete at the Luther College Invite at Oneota Golf & Country Club in Decorah, Iowa on September 20th and 21st.
