The University of Dubuque Spartans tied for first place of the 2013 Culver's Edgewood College Fall Classic with a team score of 598. UD's Mitch Sobotta claimed medalist honors after firing a 140 for the two day tournament.

Women's Tennis Earns 2013 ITA All-Academic Team Award

The University of Dubuque Women’s Tennis team earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team award. The Spartans were one of 82 teams to earn the award on the women’s side for the 2012-13 academic year. In addition, two Spartan student-athletes earned the honor of ITA Scholar-Athlete. The UD Men's Tennis team joined the women's team to become the only Iowa Conference school to place both teams on the ITA All-Academic team list.

University of Dubuque Heritage Center To Host Public Open House

Heritage Center, the University of Dubuque’s new performing arts, worship, and campus center, will host a public open house on Wednesday, August 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The evening will feature live entertainment, building tours, complimentary refreshments, door prizes, and an early opportunity to purchase individual event tickets. Brochures will also be distributed featuring the University’s inaugural 2013-2014 Live at Heritage Center performing arts season.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), announced Tuesday. the 2013 Division III All-Academic Track & Field teams. The University of Dubuque was one of 148 institutions earned the distinction as a result of earning a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 or higher.

Harrold Named Women's Basketball Coach at Grinnell

Dana Harrold has been named head women’s basketball coach at Grinnell College, according to Director of Athletics and Recreation Greg Wallace. Harrold becomes the 10th Pioneer women’s basketball coach in program history after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Dubuque since 2006.

UD Expands LIFE Accelerated Adult Degree Program to Cedar Rapids

University of Dubuque Announces Live at Heritage Center Inaugural Season

The University of Dubuque is pleased to announce the launch of its newest performing arts initiative, Live at Heritage Center. This new performing arts series features nine professional guest artist performances selected from today’s international touring circuit. The season debuts with Doc Severinsen, of Tonight Show fame, on Saturday, September 21. The series includes two performances specifically tailored to family audiences with young children, and a bonus event, Christmas at Heritage Center - the University’s newest annual holiday celebration. All 2013-2014 Live at Heritage Center performances occur in Heritage Center’s signature venue, John and Alice Butler Hall, with a seating capacity of 1000 patrons.

University of Dubuque three-sport standout Ashley Barwick has been named Second Team Capital One Academic All-America for Track & Field/Cross Country by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Barwick, an Accounting/Business Admin double major graduated in May with a 4.00 grade point average.
