Spartans Enter Christmas Break 9-1

FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Spartan men's basketball received their Christmas gift early after improving to a 9-1 overall record. Saturday night UD beat Marian University 87-64.
The Spartans swapped the lead just once before cruising to a halftime lead 44-28. UD shot a warm 50% from the field and would
finish the night with a blazing second half performance 57.1% (12-21 shot attempts). UD sank 9-18 three point attempts with Chris Frazier connecting on 3-4 attempts to finish with 12 points.
Mitch Michaelis battled back from pre-season injury to start and would finish as the Spartans top scorer with 13 points. Jordon Townsend added 12 points and eight rebounds and newcomer Isaiah Reeves had 10 points.
UD scored 32 points in the paint and 17 points off turnovers. The Spartans out rebounded the hosts 38-29.
