CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA - The University of Dubuque Wrestling team faced off against #4 Coe College in an always tough Iowa Conference dual match. The Spartans jumped out to an early lead with wins at 133, 141, 157 pounds before droppin the last five matches to lose 27-12.
Brian Travis (Redington Shores, Fla./Northside Christian) earned a first period pin at 141 lbs. to give UD its first lead. After a loss at 149 lbs., Ryan Warczynski (Minooka, Ill./Minooka) won a 4-3 decision to help UD regain the lead. Chris Sokol (Lodi, Wis./Lodi) won 6-1 at 133 lbs.
