Resner Chosen IIAC Performer of the Week

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA - The Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) announced today that Wartburg College cross country runner Alana Enabnit and Central College cross country runner Eli Horton have been named IIAC Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 28, 2012. The Conference also recognized a total of 13 Performers of the Week across eight league sports.
University of Dubuque sophomore Trish Resner (Chicago Heights, Ill./Marian Catholic) has earned IIAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Performer of the Week. Resner scored two goals in the Spartans 1st Round win against Luther and a goal against Loras in the regular season finale. The Resner goal against Loras was her first collegiate goal.
Resner is the second Spartan to be chosen Women’s Soccer Offensive Performer of the Week during the 2012 season. Alexandra Watkins earned the award on October 1st and 22nd. Loisann DeLass was also named Women's Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week on October 8th. The Spartans won four of a possible ten awards during the month of October in which they went 7-1-0.
