It was the first goal allowed by Loisann DeLass (Albuquerque, N.M./Hohenfels) since September 22nd at Wartburg snapping a string of 504 scoreless minutes in goal.

Tied 1-1 at the half, UD held a 9-2 shot and 3-0 corner kick advantage on Buena Vista.

The Spartans would light up the scoreboard first in the second half as Megan Siepler (La Canada, Calif./La Canada) scored on a scramble in the box to give UD a 2-1 lead. The goal was her fifth of the season and third in the last two games. UD would score an insurance goal in the 62nd minute on a header by Watkins, her second of the day to stretch the lead to 3-1. The goal would come on a corner kick from Melissa Sawyer (Northbrook, Ill./Glenbrook North).

DeLass finished the game with two saves and one goal allowed while earning her seventh win of the year. DeLass is a perfect 7-0-0 on the season with a 0.43 goals against average.
