DUBUQUE, IOWA – The University of Dubuque Men’s Soccer team jumped out to an early 2-0 lead but needed an extra 15 minutes to earn the 3-2 win over Simpson College.  The victory was the 50th for Coach Brad Johnson as the UD Men's Soccer Head Coach. Dubuque went ahead 2-0 on McDonald’s first goal of the game in the 61st minute after weaving through the defense for a 1-on-1 situation with the goalie. Jon Hazelwonder (Troy, Mo./Buchanan) assisted on the goal.

Simpson would go on to score two goals of their own to force overtime. The first goal came after a UD handball in the box led to a penalty kick. With less than eight minutes to play, the Storm tied the game at 2-2 with a goal from 40 yards out.
