Wyczawski Named Baseball Coach

Paul Wyczawski (pronounced WHY-CHOW-SKI) has been named the 17th coach in the history of the baseball program at the University of Dubuque, Director of Athletics Dan Runkle announced on Friday.

The D3 Senior Classic Committee is proud to announce the coaching staffs and player rosters for the for the 4th annual, 2012 D3 Senior Classic, to be played on Friday, December 7, 2012 in Salem Stadium, Salem Virginia. The Spartans Wyatt Hanus will play quarterback for the North team.
Performing Arts, Worship, and Campus Center to be Named Heritage Center

President Jeffrey F. Bullock, today announced that the formal name of the Fine, Performing Arts, Worship, and Campus Center at the University of Dubuque is to be Heritage Center. The Center, sited at the corner of McCormick and Bennett Streets, has an expected move-in date of April 1, 2013.
Grand Opening Scheduled for UD’s New Heritage Center

The Grand Opening of Heritage Center – the University of Dubuque’s new fine, performing arts, worship and campus center – will take place Saturday, May 11, and will feature a pioneering joint performance by musicians from the Columbus Symphony Orchestra from Columbus, Ohio, and the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra featuring internationally renowned violinist, Gil Shaham. Marian Hoffman, Twin Cities vocal artist and University aluma, Class of 1955, will open the program with Irving Berlin’s classic, God Bless America.
Danna Sets Records in Split with Loras

The University of Dubuque Baseball team split the doubleheader against Loras College on Tuesday afternoon and wrapped up its four game series with an even 2-2 record. The Spartans and Duhawks also split on April 16th. UD won the opener 1-0 before falling in the second game, 8-5. Dubuque is now 10-22 overall and 8-16 in the Iowa Conference. The Spartans are one game out of the sixth and final spot in the upcoming IIAC Tournament.
UD Softball Ranked in NCAA Regional Poll

The University of Dubuque Softball team made school history by making its first ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Softball Rankings. The Spartans are #8 in the May 2nd Midwest Region Rankings. UD is 15-17 overall, 12-13 in region and 7-7 in the Iowa Conference.
Alumni Makes $10 Million Gift to University of Dubuque

President Jeffrey F. Bullock today announced a $10 million gift to the University of Dubuque. The multi-million dollar estate gift, designated for student scholarships and the endowment of Heritage Center was made by a university alumni couple who prefer to remain anonymous.
2013 Chlapaty Fellows Selected

Fourteen University of Dubuque students have been designated as Joseph and Linda Chlapaty Fellows for 2013. Selected by a faculty committee, the students will carry out their Fellowship projects the summer of 2013.
