Quintet of Spartan Relays Set to Compete at Drake

DES MOINES, Iowa – The University of Dubuque qualified five relays as both 4x100m, 4x200m teams and the 1600m sprint medley relay will test the competition on the famous blue oval at the Drake Relays this Friday-Saturday, April 29-30, in Des Moines, Iowa.
A total of 13 Spartans will represent UD in the college division in a Drake Relays competition that features eight different divisions, including college, university, Elite, Masters, and special 2016 Rio Olympic Games preview races.

The rest of the University of Dubuque track and field teams will compete at Simpson College’s Kip Janvrin Open in Indianola, Iowa on Thursday and Friday.
Throwers will compete in hammer throw and discus starting at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the rest of the team will compete throughout the afternoon on Friday.
