Men’s Lacrosse Drops First Trip to Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Midfielder Icle Freeland scored two goals and Tyson Svoboda distributed two assists, but the University of Dubuque men’s lacrosse team was held to one goal in the second half of a 13-5 defeat at the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Wednesday night.
UD (1-8) trailed 9-4 heading into half after seeing goals scored by four different players. The Spartans outshot MSOE (4-5) in the second half, 16-11, but were held to just one goal, a man-up score by Freeland with 1:16 remaining.
Over the game, MSOE outshot the Spartans, 37-25.
UD goalkeeper Kyle Mullins (1-7) incurred the loss, but racked up 19 saves.
The Spartans host Augustana College (Ill.) this Saturday, April 16 at 1:00 p.m.
