Women's Soccer Edged by Knights 1-0

DUBUQUE, Iowa- Women’s soccer was defeated by Wartburg College on Wednesday night 0-1.
In the first half, the Spartans saved all five of the Knights shots on goal to keep it at a 0-0 going into the half. In the 57th minute, Wartburg’s Morgan Neuendorf scored the first goal of the game from close range to put the Knights up 1-0.
The Spartans matched the Knights in the second half with three shots on goal but UD could not find the back of the net to tie it up and the Knights would hang on to win 1-0. Spartan goalie, Megan Moll, recorded eight saves on nine shots on goal. On offense, Kyleigh McLaughlin led the way with three shots and Shelby Nicholson added two more with both of those being on goal.
Dubuque is back in action on October 25th for their final game of the regular season against Coe College at Oyen Field in Dubuque at 5:00 p.m.
