This long running Off-Broadway absurdist comedy by film and television star Steve Martin, places Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso in a Parisian cafe in 1904, just before the renowned scientist transforms physics and the celebrated painter sets the art world afire. Martin plays it fast and loose with fact, fame and fortune as these two geniuses muse on the century's achievements and prospects as well as other fanciful topics with infectious dizziness. Directed by Greg Wolf.

Christmas at Heritage Center: A Little Child, God Before Time

Celebrating its fifth year, this UD tradition once again promises to bring renewed spiritual meaning to your Christmas season. UD’s Fine and Performing Arts Department celebrates the birth of Christ through a dynamic concert presentation featuring the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and Wind Ensemble. This year’s music will be interwoven with live narration taken from the exquisite text of “On the Nativity,” composed by medieval poet Romanos the Melodist and describing the encounter between Mary and the Magi. The heavenly acoustics of John and Alice Butler Hall provide the perfect backdrop for this festive and celebratory occasion. All seating reserved. Complimentary holiday refreshments served following the concert.

Students perform in this murder mystery dinner theatre production, directed by Die Laughing Players’ Molly and Terry Hoefflin, the experts in interactive theatre in Dubuque.  It is 1929 and you are a guest at Katherine Ryan’s dinner party in honor of her late husband, and banker, Francis Ryan.  As the evening unfolds, you will help solve the mystery while laughing and enjoying a delicious meal. Table seating in Babka Theatre.

Celebrating its tenthyear, the Great River Wind Symphony will present its yearly concert in the acoustically unparalleled John and Alice Butler Hall. The ensemble performs both standard and contemporary wind literature.
