Degree & Core
- All students seeking a bachelor degree from the University of Dubuque must earn a minimum of 120 credits.
- A student’s degree is composed of core requirements, major requirements and possible elective credits.
- In order to remain in good academic standing and graduate from the University of Dubuque, students must earn a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA.
- 12-16 credits is considered full-time status for the fall and spring semesters.
Students are encouraged to take ownership of their degree and course requirements while at UD. The Core Curriculum worksheet lays out the core requriements that must be met by all students, no matter what major is declared.
In addition to the core curriculum worksheet, we encourage students to review their advising worksheet regularly. The Advising worksheet is an electronic form that shows students, according to their declared major(s) or minor(s) what requirements have been fulfilled and what requirements still need to be completed. The advising worksheet can be found in MyUD.
** The Academic Catalog provides specific degree policies and requirements and core, major and minor requirements can be found on the Registrar’s page: http://www.dbq.edu/Academics/Registrar/AcademicCatalog/
